South of dhulikhel the Namo Buddha is sacred site which for untold countries has drawn reverent pilgrims. Legend tell that The Buddha sacrificed his body here in order to feed a starving Tigers and her Cubs. A carved stone slab on the top of the Hill depicts the moving story , a lesson in compassion and selfless giving. Namo Buddha from Dhulekhel is a pleasant round trip walk of 7-8 Hours Or 2-3 Hours walk from Panauti . It is also recommended to stay overnight to explore around and have sometime with monks at the monasteries.
