Thorung La pass (5416m) trekking is great and challenging trekking passes in Annapurna region. In 1980 Throng pass trekking was opened for trekkers after Manag allowed for trekkers. In Throng pass trekking no doubt to rich Himalayan sceneries apart from the diverse culture, flora and fauna.

Thorong La Pass Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from the Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to hotel, rest and refresh for couple of hours and complete the official formalities.

Day 02: Drive to Bhulbhule from Kathmandu by local bus. It will take approx.6- 7 hrs drive than trek to Nagdi.

Day 03: Trek Nagdi to Tal - 1700m (5-6 hr)

Day 04: Trek Tal to Danaque - 1940m (4-5 hr)

Day 05: Trek Danaque to Chame - 2670m (4-5 hr)

Day 06: Trek Chame to Pisang - 3200m (4-5 hr)

Day 07: Trek Pisang to Manang Village - 3540m (5 hr)

Day 08: Acclimatization day in Manang

Day 09: Trek Manang to Yak Kharka - 4018m (4-5 hr)

Day 10: Trek Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi - 4450m (4-5 hr)

Day 11: Trek Throng Phedi to Muktinath (3798m) crossing over the Thorung-La (5416m)

Day 12: Trek Muktinath to Kagben - 2800m (3 hr)

Day 13: Trek Kagbeni to Tukuche via Marpha - 2670m (5-6 hr)

Day 14: Trek Marpha to Ghasa - 2650m (5-6 hr)

Day 15: Trek Ghasa to Tatopani - 1189m (5-6 hr)

Day 16: Rest day at Hot Spring (Tatopani)

Day 17: Trek Hot Spring to Ghorepani - 2850m (3-4 hr)

Day 18: Early morning visit Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2600m)

Day 19: Trek Tadapani (2600m) to Ghandruk (1940m)

Day 20: Trek Ghandruk (1940m) to Nayapul via Birethanti then drive back to Pokhara .

Day 21: Free day in Pokhara for personal activities- go for boating in Fewa Lake/rest/ shopping etc…

Day 22: After breakfast transfer to tourist bus station then drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. It will take approximately 6 -7 hrs then transfer to hotel and afternoon free day in Kathmandu for personal activities.

Day 23: International departure or go for onward program.

Trip Cost Includes:

  1. Airport transfers- pick up and drop
  2. Transportation Kathmandu-Besisahar by bus.
  3. 3 meals a day and overnight accommodation in lodges along the trekking period.
  4. Supporting staffs (trekking guide and porters), as well as their necessary insurance fee, meals and allowances
  5. Annapurna Conservation Area Project entrance permit (ACAP) fee
  6. TIMS permit fee.
  7. Hotel accommodation according to the above plan in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  8. Tourist bus ticket to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

  2. Kathmandu airport departure tax
  3. Travel / medical insurance and emergency evacuation cost
