Singu Chuli Peak Climbing, Singu Chuli Peak, Climb Singu Chuli – 6501m.
Singu Chuli Peak Climbing, Singu Chuli (6,501 m) was formerly known as Fluted Peak. The first ascent of Singu chuli peak was made by Wilf Noyce and David Cox on its North-East Face and the top section of the East Ridge.
Singu Chuli is known as the fluted peak. Singu Chuli peak has verified to be very difficult to climb for most commercial climbing groups who have tried to concentrate on tent peak. Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome) which separates the west and south Annapurna glaciers. The Southwest ridge of the peak hooks up with the tent peak. The territory between the two peaks is a mystifying one and the ridges are not instant.
We start Singu Chuli peak climbing trip from Nayapool, we follow the way of Annapurna Base Camp trek, then cross the Annapurna glacier to gain access to the North East Face of Singuchuli for another day. This is beautiful walk along the Modi River which drains from the Annapurna Base Camp which is very sacred to the Gurung and Magar people of this region. We climb through the glaciers towards north ridge where we will set up high camp (4,900m.). From high camp of Singu Chuli we continue climbing to summit.
