Laya/Gasa Trekking
Laya/Gasa trek is an extension of Jhomolhari trek and offers a bewildering variety of flora and fauna, picturesque landscape and high passes, herds of blue sheep and spectacular view of Jhomolhari and Jichu Drake. The route also takes you to traverse through different villages with unusual culture and traditions, which will immensely make you to come into close contact with the people and the country.
Season: From April to June and mid September to mid November.

Duration: 15 Nights/16 Days (Trek - 13 days)
Laya/Gasa Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Paro and transfer to hotel for the overnight halt.
Day 02: Starts trek from Drukgyel Dzong to Shana ( about 5-6 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Shana.
Day 03: Shana to Thangthangka (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Thangthangka.
Day 04: Thangthangka to Jangothang (about 7-8 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Jangothang.
Day 05: Jangothang to Lingshi (about 7-8 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Lingshi.
Day 06: Lingshi to Chebisa (about 5-6 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Chebisa.
Day 07: Chebisa to Shomuthang (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Shomuthang.
Day 08: Shomuthang to Robluthang (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Robluthang.
Day 09: Robluthang to Limithang (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Limithang.
Day 10: Limithang to Laya (about 4-5 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Laya.
Day 11: Laya to Koina (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Koina.
Day 12: Koina to Gasa (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Gasa.
Day 13: Gasa to Damji (about 5-6 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Damji.
Day 14: Damji to Tashithang (about 5 hrs trek). Trek ends and transfer to Punakha for overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 15: Drive to Paro (about 3-4 hrs drive). On arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon, visit Ta Dzong (now national Museum) and Paro Dzong.
Day 16: Transfer to airport for your next destination.
