Jhomolhari Trekking
This eight day trek starts from Drukgyel Dzong, Paro (2580 m) and ends at Dodena, Thimphu (2600 m). It is one of the fabulous treks, which passes through scattered villages and farmland into pristine and verdant forested valleys, to the land of yak herders, where the yaks can be seen grazing and lumbering across the beautiful sloping hill sides. Camping at Jangothang is superb and one can catch a breath taking view of Mount Jhomolhari

Duration: 11 Nights/12 Days (Trek-08 Days)
Jhomolhari Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Paro and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 02: After breakfast, visit Ta Dzong (now National Museum) and Paro Rinpung Dzong. In the afternoon, visit Kyichu Lhakhang and then take rest to prepare for the next day trekking.
Day 03: Starts trek from Drukgyel Dzong to Shana ( about 5-6 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Shana.
Day 04: Shana to Thangthangka (about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Thangthangka.
Day 05: Thangthangka to Jangothang (about 7-8 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Jangothang.
Day 06: Jangothang to Lingshi (about 7-8 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Lingshi.
Day 07: Lingshi to Shodu (about 8-9 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Shodu.
Day 08: Shodu to Barshong ( about 6-7 hrs trek). Overnight camping at Barshong
Day 09: Barshong to Dolam Kencho ( about 5-6hrs trek). Overnight camping at Dolam Kencho
Day 10: Dolam Kencho to Dodena, Thimphu ( about 3 hrs trek). Trek ends and check into hotel for overnight halt.
Day 11: Full day sight seeing in Thimphu includes National Library, Institute of Traditional arts, National Institute of Traditional Medicine and Handicrafts Emporium. Evening drive to Paro (about 1 hr 30 m drives) and upon arrival, check into hotel for overnight halt.
Day 12: Transfer to airport for your next destination.
